The game represented each university with its fans, colours, cheerleaders, and mascots. The whole experience felt like you were attending a virtual college game.

NBA Courtside Featuring Kobe Bryant

Few players have put a stamp on the league like Kobe Bryant. He was drafted into the company in 1996. And by 1998, at the tender age of 19, he was the cover athlete on his first sponsored video game. And that made him the youngest player ever to have his fun.

Jordan vs Bird

Kobe Bryant in NBA Courtside

Although he had only been in the league for a few years, the late great Kobe Bryant had already established himself as a legitimate threat to basketball by 1998. At just 19 years old, Brian became the youngest player in history to have a game designed for him. The NBA Courtside has sold over 1 million copies and won the Player’s Choice designation. The game produced a sequel that was released the following year.

NBA 2K11

NBA 2k11 takes the number one spot on this list for several reasons, not the least of which was the return of the greatest player ever to touch a basketball to the digital court.

NBA 2K13 – 90

Executive producer Jay Z has made the franchise influential. NBA 2K13 quickly became a fan favourite thanks to special all-star game events such as the Slam Dunk Contest, Three-Point Shootout, and the Rising Stars Challenge. The game also allowed players to design custom sneakers.
