Basketball is one of the unique sports in the world. All you need to play a game is two people, a ball, and a hoop. Of course, you could also play the game with many more players.

With the NBA Finals currently taking place, the number of basketball video games played could also skyrocket after basketball video games. It existed in the early days of Atari in the 1970s and has improved dramatically with each generation. Here is a list of the 10 best basketball video games.

Jordan vs Bird

The two toe-to-toe legends are always entertaining. Released in 1988, players competed in a one-on-one match as either Michael Jordan or Larry Bird. Players can also play as Michael Jordan in the Slam Dunk Contest or Larry Bird in a 3-point shootout.

NBA 2K

The original incarnations of NBA 2K were created by Sega Sports and came out on the Dreamcast. The title was very focused on getting all of the intricacies of professional basketball right.

Of course, we need to bring it back to classic. NBA Jam was a basketball arcade/console game developed by Midway in 1993. The NBA Jam was a huge hit in 1993 and was quite progressive. It’s the most profitable arcade game ever. It is cited as a turning point in sports video games in graphics and gameplay.
